A one day trip to Sultangarh was part of the orientation program. It was a pleasant outing to the bosom of nature. It took the students, teachers and other staff members afar from the hustle and bustle of the urban life. Early in the morning the team left for Sultangarh by two buses. When the team got down from the bus in Sultangarh, it found itself amidst the bewitching beauty of nature. The sound of the waterfall, the twitter of the birds, the sight of the lush greenery around, the fragrance of flowers, the whiff of fresh air - nature was really magnanimous. The beauty of nature was drunk to the lees. The students sang, danced and made merry in a variety of ways.
Afterwards the team visited the Kakato Dam. The Dam is a superb piece of engineering. It is really thrilling to see and feel how man, once only a plaything in the hands of nature, can now easily bring the forces of nature under control and utilize them for the well-being of mankind. Many took a walk across the bridge over the river on which the dam was built. Some stood on its bank, watching the river gliding in its own sweet will. Some others wandered here and there, enjoying themselves.
No doubt, the tour came as a welcome relief from the asphyxia of the four walls of the classroom and the closet. It also brought the two batches of students closer and strengthened the bonds between the members of Team Aditya. |
